Verbs with Lockie Leonard: Week 35

This week we go on to the past tense (in Swedish "preteritum"). For this we use the second verb form.

We watch one episode of Lockie Leonard in school and you watch one as homework. Write down five new words as you watch AND learn the ten verbs you find below.
Part 3: Lockie chickens out.
Part 4: To cheat or not to cheat

1 Lockie discovered that Egg's father is the Reverend.
2 Egg listened to Heavy Metal.
3 Egg's mother welded sculptures.
4 Lockie's parents talked about puberty and sex.
5 Lockie's mother gave him a green book about sex.
6 Lockie was embarrassed.
7 Lockie's teachers threw Lockie out of class.
8 Mr John East, the guidance teacher, tried to be cool.
9 Lockie let his friend Egg down.
10 Lockie saw Vickie in church.

  • Diary: Pretend you are Lockie and he sits down and writes in his diary about his experiences. Present your diary text in your blog.
  • Interview; Pair / group work: Pretend a newspaper reporter interviews some of the Leonard family members. Record your interview and present it on your blogs.
  • Newspaper article: Pretend a newspaper reporter writes about something that has happened in the film episodes.
  • Drama; Pair / group work: Act out a scene from the film or make up a new alternative scene where you solve a situation in a new way.
